Commercial Clients are now invited to ride-share on the WS-1 CubeSat mission in 2022. The Waratah Seed Consortium, led by the Australian Research Council Training Centre for CubeSats, UAVs, and their Applications (CUAVA), announces the commencement of selection for Commercial Client payloads to fly on the Waratah Seed Space Qualification Mission satellite WS-1.

Waratah Seed Space Qualification Mission – Payload Competition CUAVA, in partnership with Wolfpack Space Hub, announce the launch of the Waratah Seed Space Qualification Mission Payload Competition, Australia’s first cube satellite ride-share opportunity. The Waratah Seed Payload Competition will provide valuable assistance and mentoring to NSW space businesses and start-ups, and potentially a ‘ride’ on the Waratah Seed Space Qualification Mission’s first CubeSat WS1, due to launch in late 2022.

Coming soon! Waratah Seed is Australia’s 1st Ride-Share with the 1st Australian-built industry & commercially – focused 6U satellite. Funded by the NSW government, Waratah Seed is a pilot space qualification project to launch NSW-developed space technology into orbit to test and prove functionality. The project is focused on developing  the NSW space sector in particular, and the Australian space industry as a whole. Join the ride!
